Oliphant Science Awards 2024
The Oliphant Science Awards are a state-wide competition which give an opportunity for students to develop their interests in science through a range of categories, including crystal investigation, games, models & inventions, multimedia, photography, posters, programming, apps & robotics, scientific inquiry and scientific writing.
Students work independently or in groups to conceive and complete scientific investigations and show their work to a broader audience, with prizes awarded for the best entries.
Concordia College accepts entrants to the Oliphant Science Awards from Year 2 onwards.
All projects need to be registered by Term 2 Week 3 Friday 17 May.
Completed projects for Multimedia, Scientific Writing, Scientific Inquiry and Programming, Apps and Robotics are due Term 2 Week 9, Monday 24 June.
Completed projects for Models and Inventions, Games, Crystal Investigations, Photography and Posters are due Term 3 Week 2, Wednesday 31 July (NOTE THE CHANGE OF DATE HERE).
There is an Open Day at Science Alive from 2 - 4 August, 2024 at the Adelaide Showgrounds where winning entries are displayed.
Winners will be invited to a Presentation Ceremony later in the year.
